Addressing journalists Tuesday, President Donald Trump made light of the way that numerous U.S. troops will miss Thanksgiving with their families this year as a result of his choice to send them to the U.S.- Mexico fringe.
“Try not to stress over Thanksgiving,” Trump said. “These are intense individuals. They realize what they’re doing and they’re incredible. What’s more, they’ve worked admirably. You’re so stressed over the Thanksgiving occasion for them. They are so pleased to speak to our nation on the fringe.”

The president’s remarks came without further ado before he loaded onto a trip to spend Thanksgiving at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.
